We were born in a scene made out of famous business pioneers, or we are business pioneers changing the scene we were born?!
In my generation, the ones who created the power lights, the super driven railroads and all the metal and mining extraction activities to enable automotive, construction, and infra-structure industries are part of history. The ones who began all the movement of big cities, the ones who provide the comfort for houses and families, the starters of electric and electronic connections for big machines and computers inspired the future of todays work and life. These are paths of our history traced by business pioneers. These are the ones who cement basis of our current economy and social wealth.
Well, from my - and probably yours - active part of history, business pioneers became very rare. When we bring this conversation to round tables, no-one seems to be a business pioneer anymore. We have entrepreneurs, founders, executives, leading small ventures or big corporations changing the way we communicate, and inter-relate to each other. It is weird that we are immerse in innovations, technology, in a real material life and it seems that we lost the business pioneers. Maybe the name business pioneer is too fancy, or it was left to the old generations. Or maybe we suffer from our prejudice comparing the big pioneering missions and we cannot find the ones we have now that deserve such recognition. Or we fall in the sense there isn't much creation of things anymore. So, do we have everything? All we need is already created and existent?
What a nice excuse to comply with the world as it is, and give up to our responsibility of being the driver of our own wealth! Do we rely on the government, or on the group of leaders and influencers to create the things we wish existed? Or maybe, are we in a comfort zone, where everything we want is out there, and we just need to grab it out in our backyard?
Some of the questions that we made mostly had the answer, Yes and No. In truth, we say Yes!, and it hurts a lot. In this case, a reflection on where is our own power of creation, the freedom to operate in current or new markets, and the independence to make decisions to build our own wealth. It is one decision to rely on what we have... especially, in our the current system, so far and behind from what we wish existed.
We believe business pioneers are alive and acting in a new world of living spaces.

We found that business pioneers represent a bricolage of well-known actors and that they are a source of co-specialized assets.
The “bricolage” involves the mix of characteristics presented in entrepreneurs, leaders, and managers combined in the concept of a business pioneer. Entrepreneurs are boosted by the spirit of determination and the endless energy of non-stop action to accomplish their own idea-asset creation. Leaders are full of power to influence followers, bringing purpose and energy in personal relations. Managers effectuate the combination of science, technology, and people to implement actions that build, test, and transform ideas into reality. We found that “the darkness of the unknowns” is pioneering an idea in the business environment and creating the things we wish to exist over time.
